    The Hobie 18 Trapeze Shock Cord is an absolute necessity because it keeps the trapeze system in place and ready for hook-up. On this kit for Hobie® 18, one hook connects to either the thimble on the trapeze wire or the adjustment line, then runs through the hull fairlead and through the eyestrap under the lip of the hull near the bow or stern for crew and skipper trapeze lines respectively. The 3/16" shock cord stretches more and slides through ferrules better than larger diameter shock cord.     Tack Clew Plate Replacement Kit Murrays Part# 001-1016 ​The Tack & Clew Plate Replacement Kit includes one pair anodized aluminum plates with rivets to be set with a hammer. Rounded triangular plates measure 2-1/2″ by 2-1/2″ by 3″. Replacement rivets are available separately (#19-5005). These are commonly used as the H16 main sail clew plate and tack plate on older H16 sails. Newer sails use a hydraulic press ring at the tack and clew. Compare to Hobie part number 12240000.
