Express Shipping Timeline


Express delivery transit times start from when the package is shipped.  We ship Monday - Friday, excluding holidays, and packages get picked up around 2pm.   We most often can ship the same day if the items are in stock and we get the order before noon Pacific Standard time.

Transit times are business days. Weekends and holidays are excluded from transit times.  An overnight delivery order placed at 2pm PST on a Friday will ship on Monday and be delivered on Tuesday.  Likewise a 2 day air delivery placed on Wednesday at 2pm PST will ship on Thursday and arrive on Monday.

Murrays Sports now offers Free Shipping* on Murrays Sports Products delivered to the continental United States over $100 that ship in a small to medium size parcel. 

*Some Exceptions listed below.

-FREE SHIPPING Transit times.

Free shipping will be considered moderate priority and will ship by the most economical means available. This typically means that it will be shipped either Fedex or UPS ground. 

Ground shipping delivery times:

  • Southern California - 1-2 Business Days

  • Bay Area &Pacific Northwest - 2-3 Business Days

  • Midwest - 3-4 Business Days

  • East Coast - 5 Business Days

-Warehouse Processing Times:

Our warehouse has many parts in stock and ready to ship, some products may be built to order such as specialty rigging or even regular kits during peak season. We do our best to process any orders received before noon Pacific Time on the same day. If your order is urgent, it would be best to get confirmation of stock by reaching out to us. Carrier pickup is generally between 1pm and 3:30pm. We will attempt to get orders placed later in the day out as soon as possible, but that cannot be guaranteed. 

-Inventory Status (In Stock vs Backorder etc)

Murrays Sports supports the sailing community all over the world! While we work to provide the best products and inventory information in a timely manner, there are occasions when multiple orders will come in at the same time or during order picking we discovery product discrepancies. With the launch of our new webstore, inventory availability information promises to be more accurate than ever before! Issues do arise. We will endeavor to process your orders as quickly as possible as well as inform you of any issues as they come up. Generally, if an item is available on backorder, it means that we expect more within a week or two. Some items may become extremely impacted during peak season and take multiple months to become available again. 

*Free Shipping Explained:

Murrays Sports has always attempted to simply pass on our negotiated carrier rates to our customers. In many cases we will absorb some of the costs to help expedite an order. 

We offer free shipping on Murrays Sports products that we produce. However, there are certain exceptions based on order value, destination, and/or specific product that is being ordered. While we would love to be able to offer free shipping on everything, we have these specific exceptions in place so that we can operate sustainably and continue to offer you an industry leading selection of products along with a dedicated team of experts on hand 7 days a week to support you. In many cases, the shipping charges below only cover a portion of the total shipping costs we incur as we make every effort to keep rates as low as possible.

Shipments under $100

For reliability and cost we prefer to ship via parcel carrier services of UPS or FedEx. Orders are quoted at checkout based on your delivery address. Our minimum shipping service is the least expensive option that we can provide that still offers tracking services.

We do not offer: "Just stick it in an envelope with a stamp" shipping service. Orders are impossible to track that way. 

POSTAL Service Disclaimer

USPS and regional postal services are offered but have become very problematic. In recent years we have seen a significant number of lost or extremely delayed shipments with little or no recourse. As such, we no longer offer USPS shipments without the understanding that once the package leaves our warehouse, we take no responsibility for it. In most cases the service is more expensive and transit times are just estimates, not guarantees. PER USPS 4-8 weeks is an acceptable delivery window for Priority mail. 

Expedited Orders

We offer expedited orders based on your shipping address, product type and stock availability. Expedited shipping services must take into account warehouse processing times,(see above)

International Orders

We offer international shipping via UPS and FedEx. In special cases we ship USPS for military or other special case circumstances. International shipping rates do not include import duties or taxes collected by the destination country's government, and customers will be responsible for paying those duties and taxes. USPS Shipments are not guaranteed. Due to an excessive number of lost or delayed packages. Any shipments lost or delayed due to USPS will be compensated for by USPS and that shipment will be considered complete when handed off to the postal service. 


Freight Items

Some products are beyond the realm of our standard parcel services offered. Our site will try and provide information as best it can, but keep in mind that trailers, boats, masts, spinnaker poles, boards and other awkwardly large items will likely need to ship via freight. Freight prices vary wildly and will typically need to be quoted on a case by case basis.
