Powerstick Repair Plug

The Powerstick repair plug comes with the Powerstick tiller extentions.  It can be used to repair the internal tube if it breaks.

Repair instructions:

Cut the tube off square a bit past the split. An abrasive wheel type cutter woks the best.
Something with teeth can pull individual carbon strands.
Look into the tube and note what it looks like. Then sand the inside of the tubes a bit to get a roughen bonding surface and remove the release film we applied during manufacturing. Use a pen, drill bit or something to reach inside wrapped with 150 grit sandpaper or so.
Look again and see that it has scratches completely and as deep as the end fits in. Try not to over sand it, just get it scratched for the epoxy to have scratches to grab onto.
Mask off the tube so no epoxy gets on them.
Get a piece of cardboard box or something to mix the JB weld on , and a popsicle stick or  flat blade screw driver, or similar devise for mixing and scraping the epoxy as you mix the two parts well.
Mix up some JB Weld Marine (50%-50%)
J-B Weld 8272 MarineWeld Marine Epoxy.

Probably can be bought locally at a building or hardware store.
It is slow setting (24 hrs) but a little heat helps speed up the process, don't get things TOO HOT .  100-120 degrees F is more than enough.
Make sure every part is coated well inside and out. A little heat (hair drier) makes the epoxy flow better than when it is cold.
Slide it in and out a few times to help coat it completely, look inside to see that it is all coated, perhaps adding some epoxy between the sliding it in and out, then leave it till sets without disturbing it.
