Choosing Axel Width: The best way to know which axle you need is to measure the width of your boat.

Some boats are more fragile than others. Most Daggerboard or Centerboard boats should have cradles or bunks added.

Cat Trax are beach wheels for you catamaran. Choose the width that best fits your boat and you can add cradles if needed. This is the standard version with a padded cover on the axel for your boat to rest on.

This lightweight, yet sturdy rustproof beach dolly will carry your catamaran easily over sand, rocks, mud or pavement. The Cat Trax feature strong aluminum wheel rims with two-ply pneumatic rubber tires that disperse weight and do not dig in. Air pressure can be changed to accommodate the conditions. Roller bearings give low-friction wheeling. Twenty super hard and super slick delrin roller bearings per wheel provide smooth rolling.

Cat Trax provide no-hassle, maintenance-free operation with no lubrication required, plus they cannot rust. Tough and durable ABS molded and padded end caps center the boat and hold it in line. Just pull the Cat Trax under the boat using the tie down ropes and, when balanced, secure the ropes to the stays. There is no faster or simpler system. Use the same tie down ropes to secure to your trailer tongue when transporting on the road.

Cat Trax axles are available in 7', 8' or 8'6" lengths and the appropriate axle length for your boat will be shipped. The longer 8'6", 2" outside diameter, anodized aluminum axle is double-drilled to accommodate either 8' or 8'6" wide cats. A shorter 7' axle model Cat Trax for the Wave is also available, if specified. An optional axle extender (#13-1409) is available for boats wider than 8-1/2'.
