    The Hobie 16 main halyard comptip is used to raise the main sail on a Hobie 16 with a comptip on the mast. The main halyard comptip features a long rope section connected to a shorter wire section with a stopper and halyard shackle with a captured pin. The shackle connects to the head of the main sail and the stopper hooks into the main halyard hook and holds the sail up. Comptip masts are stock on all Hobie 16s since 1986.     Tack Clew Plate Replacement Kit Murrays Part# 001-1016 ​The Tack & Clew Plate Replacement Kit includes one pair anodized aluminum plates with rivets to be set with a hammer. Rounded triangular plates measure 2-1/2″ by 2-1/2″ by 3″. Replacement rivets are available separately (#19-5005). These are commonly used as the H16 main sail clew plate and tack plate on older H16 sails. Newer sails use a hydraulic press ring at the tack and clew. Compare to Hobie part number 12240000.
