The Plume Bridges the gap between the wing and the para wing.  The Plume is easier to handle and makes learning to para wing more assessable.  The main advantage is that it has much more range than a parawing.  The Plume allows you to depower the wing when you need less power, which is much easier than needing to hang on or let go of a parawing, and then needing to recover the parawing and restart.  The Plume also can go upwind really well as the leading edge wont collapse when pointing up into the wind.  The Plume can float effortlessly behind you from a handle on the leading edge to allow for long unpowered downwind rides.
