Hobie Cat developed the stiff, lightweight EPO3 rudder blade as the next generation performance rudder blade for Hobie® 14, 16, 17, 18 and 20. The EPO3 provides supreme performance and handling not found with other rudder blades. It features an improved trailing edge on the original shape of the EPO2 rudder, resulting in reduced cavitation with smoother, more forgiving control. Its hand-laid fiberglass construction incorporates extra cloth for longitudinal stiffness, with extra glass in all the right places to ensure the performance necessary for the most demanding sailors using extreme mast rake.
