Gath EVA Helmet

The Gath EVA Helmet, formerly known as the Pro Surf, features an EVA foam forehead protection, adjustable audio vents, and fine tuning fit options. Long favored for its simplicity, low volume, and excellent head and ear coverage, it is the favorite of many surfers and other water sports enthusiasts who prefer it over the Surf Convertible and Gedi Convertible models. Sky divers also appreciate the low volume, aerodynamic shape and the altimeter bracket option. Weight: 325-350g.

The comfort strip fitting system is very versatile. Be creative with different padding combinations and configurations to customize the fit to your head shape. Some customers even lift the internal liner flaps and put segments of comfort strips underneath, using the self-adhesive back to stick them to the shell.  This method of fitting provides the user with direct connection to the liner of the helmet for the most secure fit and lowest profile helmet.

Colors - Choose from a selection of high-quality painted colors: mat white, matt yellow, orange gloss, red gloss, carbon graphic or black “rubber”.

Gath EVA Vs Neo - The 2 helmets share the same shell, the main difference is the forehead panel, the Eva features an EVA foam forehead which is thicker and provides additional forehead protection.  The Neo has a neoprene forehead which is more flexible and fits people with narrow heads better.  

Fit Strips: The EVA helmet liner uses has fit strips, which allow for some sizing adjustment. Each size comes with a fit strip installed and an additional thicker fit strip if you wish to make the helmet a little smaller.  The small and the medium are the same size helmet with different fit strips, same with the large and the XL.  So you can adjust the helmets between small and medium or large and XL by getting additional fit strips.  Check the size chart for more info. 

Round fit: The EVA is a very round helmet, best for people with wider rather than longer heads.  If the original Gath Neo Surf Helmet did not fit you well because the sides were squeezing your head or jaw line, then the EVA is the helmet for you!!

Sizing: Have someone else measure around your head at forehead level using a cloth tape measure; a metal tape measure will not give an accurate measurement. If you are close to the next larger size, take the bigger size. 

Correct fit is critical. The helmet needs to fit securely around the head and ears, tight enough not to move around, yet loose enough to still be comfortable. In general, front-to-rear stability is more important than side-to-side.  You want contact with the helmet, but not pressure for the best comfort and performance.

Gath products are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the date of purchase, provided they are used as intended and the care instructions are strictly followed. This warranty does not cover scratches to the Gath or the effects of overexposure to heat.
