Hobie cheek blocks are used for the jib halyard on the Hobie 14 and Hobie 16.  The base of the block is slightly curved to fit flush against the mast.

Downhaul cheek blocks are used on the Hobie 16 mast for the jib halyard. Cheek blocks are also often used for the downhaul and on the front crossbar corner castings for jib traveler control.

Tip: When the plastic sheave breaks the entire block must be replaced.  They should be good for 20 plus years.

Additional uses:  Also used on the Sol Cat 18.

Specs: Hole spacing 1/2" on center from side to side; 2-3/4" on center from end to end.  Fits up to 5/16 or 8mm line.

To install on your mast: Use four #19-5031 6-4 rivets and four #19-5020 sealed rivet casings.
