RUDDER LOCKING KIT Hobie 16 Murrays Part# 50-10311900 Hobie factory rudder locking kit for Hobie 14 or 16 includes one each plunger, 2-1/2" spring (#50-10432000), and Delrin screw. Delrin screw is 3/4-10 thread. In many cases you can drill it out with a 5/8" drill bit and then get a 3/4-10 tap to clear the threads.

Rudder Locking Kit Includes: 

  • Rudder Plunger - 50-10440000
  • 2-1/2" Rudder Spring - 50-10432000
  • Delrin Rudder Screw - 50-60450000

Installation note:
The Delrin screw is 3/4-10 thread. In many cases you will need to drill out the existing one with a 5/8" drill bit and then clear the threads with a 3/4-10 tap.  Best to lubricate the replacement screw to prevent seizing.
