H14/16 Mast Step-Black

This is a factory Hobie 14*/16 Mast Step Black replacement. For Hobie 14s and Hobie 16s.  This is the post 2004 version.

The first hardware change was in the early 80s. The mast step was angled further back and the mast base was adjusted to match. If you are replacing an original pre-1980 mast step you will need new rigging to accommodate the increased mast rake.  The new rigging uses a longer forestay (or an additional 10-hole adjuster) and shorter shrouds.

At the 2004 Worlds, the step and base were adjusted again, and include the addition of little divots to help capture the mast bearing.

Installation: Use four stainless steal 6-8 rivets (#19-5033 or #50-8011231) for installation.

H14: This is for Hobie 14s with a threaded dolphin striker post. If yours is not threaded you will need the 50-10170011 (see below). The threaded post, is the dolphin striker that is the same style as the H16. This was the original Hobie 14 Turbo setup.
