    The Hobie 16 main halyard comptip is used to raise the main sail on a Hobie 16 with a comptip on the mast. The main halyard comptip features a long rope section connected to a shorter wire section with a stopper and halyard shackle with a captured pin. The shackle connects to the head of the main sail and the stopper hooks into the main halyard hook and holds the sail up. Comptip masts are stock on all Hobie 16s since 1986. Replace flared gudgeons with their sharp edges and point loading that can cause early rudder pin failure. For Hobie® 14, 16 and 17, order separate upper and lower gudgeons.
