    Hobie mast chips - 11110005 The Hobie 16 Mast bearing kit comes with 3 Teflon mast pivot bearings for the Hobie 14, and 16 as well as the older Waves and getaways. Mast bearings sit between the mast step casting and the mast base casting to reduce friction and allow for easier mast rotation and prevent metal-to-metal contact. The mast chips are .06" thick and will form to mast base with first use. Mast bearing should be replaced about once a year, depending on use. Use this item in place of ite
