Mile High 2020 at Huntington Lake, CA

width= Despite there being no socials, dinner and limited camping, sailors came from all over California, Nevada and Arizona to compete at one of West Coast's most popular Catamaran events. Saturday began with clear glassy water, with a breeze that built from about 8am through 2pm. Competitors were welcomed to a spread out Skippers' with only one member of each boat attending. Leanne came out again from the San Luis Yacht Club to be our PRO again and punctually started our event, getting off 4 races! The Hobie 20s were frequently double trapped with plenty of breeze to shred around the course. Sunday had the wind coming up a bit later, with 3 races being completed as scheduled. Strong competition could be found in the 9 boat Miracle 20 fleet, the 13 boat H16A fleet and the 2 boat H18 fleet. The 2 boat 16b fleet had a few returning sailors from Bakersfield duking it out. The Wave fleet unfortunately only had one boat due to some delivery delays for the competition. The wave could be seen cruising each day we were up there and helped out as pinch crew for a few boats in need. We hit the beach with smiles and many sailors made off with sweet swag! width= Results for Mile High 2020 can be found here SlackwaterSF took a bunch of photos that can be found at the link below: width=
